New for December 2012, The Loft is Newport's alternative venue. Situated very near the bus station, transport to and from this club couldn't get much easier! It was 'set up by music lovers for music lovers' and is run by festival bar specialists. The Really Good Bar Company have operated at festivals across the UK, including Glastonbury, Bestival and The Big Chill, so this new club is aimed at a similar crowd.
The Loft is largely a non-commercial venue and will attract alternative music lovers. Open for three nights a week, the weekly calendar features live bands and indie music on Thursdays, eclectic collections on Fridays and electro dance on Saturdays. It also hosts numerous local bands and DJs, as well as up-and-coming musicians from across the spectrum. If you're looking for something a step away from the mainstream, then The Loft is the place for you!
