All the elements for an excellent restaurant experience in Bembridge come together at Lockslane.
The friendly and attentive service in a homely and relaxed atmosphere, delicious coffee and selective wine list all make way for the real star of the show: the imaginative menu. While at first glance it may seem like a small selection, you will have trouble deciding between the great variety of delicious dishes. The menu changes regularly, with a weekly specials board also available. All food is prepared at the bistro using the best fresh and seasonal ingredients sourced locally in the village. A carefully selected wine list complements the menu, along with a range of beers, ciders, liquors and soft drinks.
Lockslane is owned and operated by a 'two-woman band'; Dawn at front of house and Catherine as chef. Before the advent of the motor car and the development of houses, Foreland Road, was once a tree-lined track known as Locks Lane, connecting the village to Lane End and Forelands, hence the name, Lockslane.
