Great pub food at very reasonable prices... and good beer too! One of our favourite stops during Cowes Week particularly, with a lively welcoming atmosphere.
Situated on the high street in the hub of the yachting scene is The Anchor Inn, providing rustic pub foods and traditional ales to those who have had a long day on the waves (or to anyone for that matter). The chefs write up a daily specials board that you can enjoy in the stable yard when weather permits, or by the open toasty fire for when it doesn't. The Anchor offers regular entertainment in the form of pub quiz nights every other Tuesday and Thursday, a poker night every Tuesday and it is one of the main live music venues on the island, making it a hugely popular bar.
