Bembridge Youth and Community Centre

Bembridge Youth and Community Centre is a flexible community venue in Steyne Park, Bembridge, on the Isle of Wight. The light, modern building combines a spacious main hall with a smaller lounge bar, creating a practical setting for social, educational and leisure activities.

The centre suits a broad range of organised occasions, including private and children’s parties, receptions, charity events, presentations, exhibitions, fairs, workshops and sports or social gatherings. Music nights and other community events also form part of the venue’s programme. The main hall can accommodate up to 100 people, while the lounge provides seating for up to 40. The venue is licensed for events of up to 140 people overall.

The lounge bar has a relaxed, informal character and serves snacks, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks. It offers a separate space for smaller gatherings, refreshments or a quieter break from activities in the main hall. The centre also has a catering-standard kitchen with stainless steel work surfaces, a six-ring cooker and fridge freezer, making it suitable for event catering arrangements.

Regular activities include leisure classes such as dance fitness, art and karate. The building also serves as a clubhouse for Bembridge Football Club and Bembridge Youth Football Club, and provides a base for two local petanque teams. These ongoing uses give the centre a distinctly community-focused atmosphere, while the adaptable rooms allow different layouts for meetings, classes, celebrations and public events.

Full disabled access, WiFi and an adjacent car park add practical convenience for organisers and attendees. A spacious balcony and nearby children’s play area extend the venue beyond the main building, particularly for family occasions and outdoor breaks. With its central Bembridge setting, varied room sizes and combination of bar, kitchen and activity space, the centre works for local clubs, community groups, families, charities and private event organisers.
