The Castle Inn

Isleofwight

Pub Restaurants

Being the oldest pub in Newport, The Castle Inn has its fair share of history on the Isle of Wight, with an imprisoned king using it as his watering hole (whilst under armed guard, of course), fires burning the front walls, hauntings, thieves and vagabonds dating back to the 1500s to present day where it still stands right near Carisbrooke Castle.

The Castle provides an array of comforting traditional pub foods and drinks between its flagstone floor and beamed ceilings in a relaxed atmosphere. A healthy new menu has been mustered up for children and dogs are welcome, making it the ideal place to take your family for a light bite in the courtyard gardens or for something to warm you up in winter.

Private Functions

There’s a Stable Bar and skittle alley available to hire for private functions, located just along from the courtyard and with full catering services available to hire.
